In this article, we will show which are the options in this tab and what's each one for. Please see the image below:

1. Membership Name: This is a Mandatory field (*), this means that changes can not be saved without filling this field.

This name will appear on the checkout page as well, that's why we recommend adding a one-word name.

Also, the Membership Plan name will appear at the top of each tab, this way is easier to know which membership is being edited.

2.  After Sign Up, Set Account Status As: This option will determine the status of the members as soon as they sign up.  In the past, this was an Advanced Setting that worked for all membership plans at once, but now, the status can be selected on each membership plan.

Find below the 3 options that can be selected:

  • Active Account. This will make the member active as soon as she or he creates the account, the account will be visible on the site right away.
  • Inactive Account. Requires Email Verification.  This will make sure the account is not active unless they verify the email that they receive, once they click on the verify email link the account will be visible.
  • On Hold, Requires Admin Approval. When members sign up they are going to be on hold and not visible.
If the member needs to be approved, it can be found under Members >> Search Members, then click on Actions >> Quick Edit. Change the Account Status to Active Account.
An article about this setting can be found here: Manually Approve New Member Signups.

3. After Upgrading To This Plan, Set Account Status As:

This option will allow selecting the status of the members as soon as they upgrade to this specific membership plan.

These are the 2 options:

  • Active Account: This will make the member active as soon as she or he upgrades, the account will be visible on the site right away.
  • Inactive Account:  This will make the member inactive as soon as she or he upgrades, the account will not be visible on the site right away.

4.  Redirect Page After Login: The default option is: /account/home. We do not recommend to change the default link, it could cause issues when members try to log in.

5. Redirect Page After Sign Up: This is the web page members are redirected to after they Sign Up.

Default: /account/home

6. Sign Up Email Sent: This is the email the members will receive right after they signed up. This is email is sent automatically by the system.

If the membership plan is Free please select the email Template: Welcome-basic- [Action-required] Please verify your email.

If the membership plan is Paid please select the email Template: Welcome-paid- [Action-required] Please verify your email.
Send Copy of Email to Default Website Email Address: If this setting is checked (Default), the system will send a copy of this email to the owner of the site (Default Website Email Address).

7. Upgrade Email Sent: Choose an email template to be sent after member upgrades to this membership plan.

Send Copy of Email to Default Website Email Address: If this setting is checked (Default), the system will send a copy of this email to the owner of the site (Default Website Email Address).

8. Sign Up Page Sidebar: This is the sidebar that will appear on the checkout page, right next to the new member contact information and credit card fields.

The option we recommend to choose is No Sidebar.

Note: Please do not select any of the default ones: Homepage with Map, Lead Page Sidebar, Member Profile Page, Member Search Result, Post Search Result, and Post Single Page.

We do NOT recommend using these sidebars because they contain links and the members can be redirected to other pages and leave the checkout page. It is better to create a new sidebar for checkout pages.  Please make sure that it does not have any links.

9. Sign Up Page Sidebar Position: Choose the position of the signup page sidebar (right or left).

10.  Profile Page Sidebar: The default one is: Member Profile Page. However, a different sidebar can be added if needed.

11. Membership Plan Search Results URL: This option will allow adding a new URL for this specific membership plan.

IMPORTANT - It is NOT possible to use the slug "pro" as it will break this feature. If the word "pro" needs to be used, please enter "pro-plan" to resolve this issue.

For example: If the Premium Membership is being edited, add in this field the word "Premium" and the system will create a new page called "Premium" and it will show all members under the Premium Membership.

Example: yourdomain.com/premium

12.  Pre-Select Top Category: Select if a member will have a "Top Category" selected when they signup.

Keep in mind that they can change this selection. However, it will be pre-selected when they see the Contact Details form for the first time.
Please reference the image below to see where the pre-selection will be located.

13. Pre-select Listing Type: Select if a member will have a "Listing Type" selected when they signup.

Keep in mind that they can change this selection. However, it will be pre-selected when they see the Contact Details form for the first time.

Please reference the image below to see where the pre-selection will be located.

14. Profile Page Badge: This badge will appear at the top right of the member profile.

If the "Member Profile Badges” Add-On was purchased or the site has the VIP Add-Ons installed, then this option will appear at the bottom of the general tab (See the first image above) to upload the badge.

Example:

15. Search Results Badge: This badge will appear in all search results when a member is listed in that specific membership plan.

If the "Member Profile Badges” Add-On was purchased or have the VIP Add-Ons installed, then this option will appear at the bottom (See the first image) to upload the badge.

Example:

16. Member Dashboard Badge: This badge will appear in the member dashboard.

The idea of this badge is that members copy and paste the code (shown in the image below) into their website's source code. This will help them to attract more clients.

Example:

17. Enable Search Results Highlight? This add-on highlights members of specific membership plans within the member search result pages of the website.

It changes the design like the border, the border color, text color, border width, the text message displaying, the font size, text position, and the border-radius.
