Once you have this add-on activated on your website, you will need to do a few steps to have it turned on within your site.


To turn this on, please follow these steps:


1. Go to Settings - General Settings:



2. Click on Integration Tab:



3. Scroll down until you see the option to Enable Private Chat Messages for Members and select Yes:



4. Save Changes.


Now that this has been activated for your site, we will need to determine which membership levels will have access to this add-on. To do this please follow these steps:


1. Go to Finance - Manage Products:



2. Select the Product Level you wish to grant this add-on to and click Edit:




3. Click on the Additional Settings Tab:



4. Scroll down until you see this option, and select Yes:




Important: Enabling this add-on, all direct messages will only be available member to member. If you are not logged in as a member, it will not allow you to send a direct message. However, the general get matched form will still be available for non-members.


So if your member is logged in and he searches for another member's profile, he can now send him a direct message: 




As you can see, the regular contact form won't appear, instead this other message field will appear:




Once the message is sent, you will be redirected to the thread of the messages where you can see the full conversation:




And the member that received the message will get a notification:




Your members will have the ability to report any messages to you, this way if they are being harassed you can block the member for them.




You will be able to review all Direct Chats within your admin area, this is located in your Leads section.

Here you can delete them or re open them if they are not violating any terms of your site.




You will be also able to read the thread that were reported, clicking on the "Read Thread" button:
