Email Unsubscribed Page Installer: Install New Updates

The Install New Updates module on the admin dashboard lists one-time platform installers that have pending steps for your specific website. Click the green Check For Updates button to refresh the list — an installer only appears when your site actually has something left to install, and it disappears from the list once its steps are complete.
What Email Unsubscribed Page Installer Does
This installer restores the Email Unsubscribed page, the page a person lands on after using an unsubscribe link in one of your website's emails. It creates one new static page on your site and changes nothing else. Specifically:
- The page is named Unsubscribed Page and is registered with the special page type "unsubscribed", which is how the platform recognizes it as the unsubscribe landing page.
- Its content is a single widget, Bootstrap Theme - Unsubscribe Email Page, which displays the unsubscribe confirmation that visitors see.
- The page is created in active status, ready to use. No other pages, widgets, email templates, or settings are touched.
Why It Appears
It appears when your site's database contains no page of the "unsubscribed" type. The platform expects this page to exist, so if it is missing it was most likely deleted at some point, EG during a cleanup of pages that looked unused. This installer exists to recover it. If your site already has an unsubscribed page, the installer stays hidden, so it can never create a duplicate or overwrite a version you have customized.
Why It Matters
Unsubscribe links in the emails your website sends need somewhere to take people. If this page is missing, your site has no dedicated page to show a recipient who has just unsubscribed. Running the installer restores that landing page, so recipients see a clear confirmation instead of a dead end. It affects only what unsubscribing visitors see; it does not change how unsubscribes themselves are processed or alter any email templates.
How to Run It
- From the admin dashboard, find the Install New Updates module and click Check For Updates.
- If your site has pending steps, Email Unsubscribed Page Installer appears in the list. Click Install.
- After it completes, click Check For Updates again — the entry disappears once all steps are done.
If Email Unsubscribed Page Installer does not appear in the list, your website is already up to date — the module only shows installers with pending steps, so there is nothing to do.
After Running
A new static page named Unsubscribed Page appears in your site's list of web pages, where you can review and edit it like any other static page. Its content comes from the widget named Bootstrap Theme - Unsubscribe Email Page, so if you want to adjust the confirmation wording, that widget is the place to look. Nothing else on your site is modified, so there is nothing further to check. Because it is a normal static page, any future edits you make to it work the same way as on your other pages.
