Essentially every Post Type has two main pages, the search results page where all the results for that feature show up:





 and the details page where the details of every single post from that feature show up.:

Our software will allow users to add/remove/edit specific sidebars to each of these pages specified.


How to Add/Remove Widgets From the Sidebars


Before we can add or remove any widgets from these sidebars, first we have to identify which Sidebars that we will be making these edits on.


How to Identify Which Sidebar to Edit


To identify which Post Type using which sidebar on which page, navigate to Content >> Edit Post Settings >> Click "Edit" on preferred Post Type:





In its edit view, Search Results Design and Detail Page Design are the tabs we will be using:





When on the Search Results Design tab, scroll down and identify the sidebar under Sidebar To Use section:





When on the Detail Page Design tab, scroll down and identify the sidebar under Sidebar To Use section:





Another way to identify which sidebar is being used on what page is to utilize the Admin Bar tool on the front end and click on the Show Widgets button:





Not only will this display the names of the widgets being used on the page but it will also display the sidebars being used on the page:
